Innovation centres

3 innovation centres will be created and located within the 3 tunisian universities participating in the project.

WINTEX objectives

To establish 3 innovation textiles’ centers within the participating Tunisian universities (ISMMM, USF and ISET)

To offer to the Tunisian textile sector access to dedicated set of services to foster innovation

To promote cooperation between HEIs and businesses and strengthen the relationship by creating the Academia Textile Industry Council

UPC - Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya

 

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech (UPC) is a public institution dedicated to higher education and research, specialized in the fields of engineering, architecture and science. The UPC puts its scientific and technological infrastructure at the service of research groups and centers, researchers and students, professionals, companies and institutions. With a focus on intellectual rigor, critical thinking, a transversal approach to knowledge, educational innovation and entrepreneurship, the UPC produces competent professionals with the skills they need to tackle present and future challenges. The textile section of the Departament de Ciència i Enginyeria de Materials performs Textile Education & Research at the UPC Terrassa Campus.

AEI Tèxtils

Agrupació d’Empreses Innovadores Tèxtils (AEI TÈXTILS) is a non-profit association, which has the aim to join all Catalan companies and organizations related directly or indirectly to the technical textiles sector and which form a specialized productive area with competitive advantages.

ATCTex - Association Tunisienne des Cercheurs en Textile

 

The ATCTex (Tunisian Association for Textile Researchers) is a scientific association of professors, professionals and students interested in the textile research field. The ATCTex mission is to promote The textile sector by developing the textile applied research.

Founded in 2006, with more than 150 members in 2020, the ATCTex has 3 main objectives : to organize, assist and promote activities related to Textile and applied research on this sector.

We have already:

  • Organized 8 sessions of CIRAT (International Conference of Applied Research on Textile ), the 9th one will be held in Monastir on November 13-14, 2020
  • Organized 2 sessions of TUNTEX (competions of design, innovation and entrepreneurship), the 3rd one will be held the day before CIRAT-9
  • Founded or Co-founded many structures for the development of Tunisian Textile
  • Organized training sessions for researchers
  • Published an open peer scientific journal : IJARTEX (International Journal of Applied Research on Textile) ISSN 2356-5586 PRINT / ISSN 2356-5594 ONLINE (atctex.org/ijartex)
  • Participated in national and international conferences and expos
  • Cooperated with national and international institutions : universities, scientific associations, industries
CEDECS

CEDECS is a French consultancy supporting innovation and business development. It was founded in 1987 as an IT start-up specialised in e-learning solutions for SMEs.

 

Since 2004 CEDECS is working mainly for European Textile-Clothing R&D projects dealing with R&D roadmaps, the Textile European Technology Platform, HR knowledge and know-how capture, valorization and transfer, training and sustainable development.

 

CEDECS worked for IFTH (Institut Français du Textile Habillement) until 2012 and works since then with a wide network of Euro-Mediterranean Textile and Clothing actors and is also involved in coaching start-up entrepreneurs in various fields and countries.

 

In 2020 CEDECS Ltd will become CEDECS-TCBL SAS to develop with new shareholders, the commercial exploitation of TCBL (tcbl.eu): its platform, supporting a network of more than 50 Labs, acting as Hubs for more than 250 SMEs involved in innovative and sustainable T&C business models and solutions development.

CRNS - Centre de Recherche en Numérique de Sfax

CRNS is a Tunisian high public institution directed for research and innovation in the fields of materials, information, and communication. It aims to beat the forefront of technology by conducting applied research focused on innovation. Its visions are to make the center a world leader institution in scientific research of nanomaterials and digital technologies and to contribute to the development of the digital economy in Tunisia.

As it has a highly skilled professional staff of 16 project groups composed of 56 Senior researchers (University professors) and 110 Ph.D. students, the CRNS is highly involved in national and international collaborations with industries and universities from France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and the United States of America working on multiple projects.

LT2S laboratory “Laboratory of Technologies for Smart Systems” is the highly qualified research laboratory on the CRNS applied to various scientific fields such as nanotechnologies and thin films, remote sensing & satellite image processing, E-health, Embedded systems, and Network & M2M communication giving the opportunity to excel in scientific research and to be implicated in the industry.

CRE.THI.DEV

CRE.THI.DEV. focuses on research, development of studies and action plans, as well as implementation of projects mainly in the fields of:  education and life – long learning, design, quality, research and innovation, entrepreneurship, social economy, environment, equity and social inclusion, social policy, athletics, culture, transport, energy saving, technology transfer.

Our main objective is to facilitate networking and cooperation among local, regional, national and European authorities, universities, research centres, organizations, business associations and enterprises, in order to promote and disseminate innovation, entrepreneurship, social economy, sustainable development and exchange of knowledge.

CIAPE

CIAPE is the Italian Center for Adult Permanent Learning, a non-profit body that operates at a European level to remove the barriers that hinder continuous learning. CIAPE is an association of adult learners, carring out training activities in formal, non-formal and informal contexts to develop and validate the transversal skills and competences required in the future labor market. The organization:

– is recognized as a European expert in work-based learning

– performs the role of coordinator of the European network for quality apprenticeships

– is committed to training trainers

– has a long experience in the management of EU, national and regional projects

– develops innovative ideas to ensure accessibility of learning to a wide range of target groups, such as students, seniors, professionals and risk groups

– is an active member of the CEDEFOP “European Qualifications Framework – Credit Transfer In VET” and of the “Quality Assurance in VET” communities

– specializes in learning methods tailored to the needs of students and in the management of in-service training courses and study visits

– took part in various projects concerning entrepreneurship education, new professional profiles, social inclusion and innovative learning media (mobile learning)

ISET of Ksar-Hellal – Institut Supérieur des Études Technologiques de Ksar-Hellal

The ISET of Ksar-Hellal is a public scientific and technological establishment placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and managed by the General Direction of Technological Studies.

At ISET, 120 teachers provide science and technology education to over 900 students for :  – 3 years leading to an applied license in four specialties: textiles, mechanics, chemical processes and marketing – 5 years leading to a professional master’s degree in “Management and Development of Textile Companies” or “Production Management in Clothing”.

ISMMM – Institut Supérieur des Métiers de la Mode de Monastir

The Higher Institute of Fashion of Monastir (ISMMM) is part of the University of Monastir, Tunisia,

It was founded in 2003, the current number of students is 510 and that of teachers is 100. It includes two departments: one design and fashion, the second management of textiles and fashion. There are two master classes in each department.

MFCPole - The Pôle de Compétitivité Monastir-El Fejja

The establishment of The Pôle de Compétitivité Monastir-El Fejja (mfcpole) is subscribed under the Tunisian policy aiming at promoting added value activities within textile and clothing sector, in particular technical textiles, smart textiles and dyeing activities, promoting innovation and reinforcing the collaboration between research and industry.

Mfcpole is managing the technopark for textiles and textile materials located in Monastir Region, a natural cluster of textile that combines more than 600 textile and clothing companies including more than 150 SMEs operating in the field of functional textiles.

TUASI - Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iaşi

Universitatea Tehnică “Gheorghe Asachi” din Iasi (TUIASI) is among the oldest and well known universities from Romania, having an important tradition in engineering and scientific education, with a distinguishable presence on the international level. The university trains engineers with high qualifications, able to respond quickly and efficiently to the requirements of innovation, research and economic development.

TUIASI has an important educational and research dimension, with eleven faculties and 23 accredited research/excellence centers and laboratories focused on creating and transferring knowledge, especially in multi-disciplinary high-tech engineering areas.

The Faculty of Industrial Design and Business Management  is one of the faculties of TUIASI and is known at European and national level for its high quality study programs in the fields of textiles, clothing, footwear, chemical finishing and business  management for all three levels (BSc, MSc, PhD). Also, the faculty is offering technological transfer, research, consultancy, and training support.

UNIWA - University of West Attica

UNIWA operates with high educational and research standards and strives to respond to the ever-increasing demands of a modern society for the creation of executives that have attained a solid scientific and technological background.

UNIWA includes twenty-seven departments, organized into six Schools, covering a wide range of disciplines. The newly established university is the third largest in the country in terms of student numbers. It has approximately 52,000 undergraduate, 1,150 postgraduate and 210 doctoral students. UNIWA maintains permanent partnerships with other domestic and foreign educational and research institutions, with the aim of continually improving the level of study. In addition, it is highly involved in various European Union Programs aiming for international collaborations, development of innovation and dissemination of knowledge.

Postgraduate programs are a high priority at UNIWA as it offers a wide range of programmes (departmental, interdepartmental, inter-institutional and interstate ones), covering a variety of scientific fields, thus enabling graduates to promote science and claim their place in the labour market.

USF - University of Sfax

The University of Sfax is a university based in Sfax (Tunisia). It was founded of August 9, 1986.

The University of Sfax has experienced since its creation a regular evolution of the number of students, the number of teachers and the quality of training in its establishments.

The university is open to its socio-economic environment. It largely contributes to diversifying the economic fabric of the governorate of Sfax and to strengthening the economic weight that the region represents on a national scale.

It maintains partnerships with large companies and university cooperation in research and exchange programs with foreign universities in several countries.

It is ranked by the U.S. News & World Report in 10th place in the 2016 regional ranking of Arab universities. According to the 2019 Times Higher Education university ranking, the university is ranked 801st among the 1,250 universities evaluated in the world, making it the first Tunisian university.
